Princess Izabella's 5th Birthday Party

Once upon a time… our tini Princess Izabella turned FIVE! We celebrated with an all girl Princess party a couple weeks ago. She is obsessed with all things pink, sparkly & and princess therefore choosing her theme and colors was easy peasy.

I was super happy when I came across Paper Glitter's princess printable invitation. The colors were perfect.  Iza fell in love with it too and said it looked just like her! I added a little bit of sparkle & ribbon and tada invitations were done!

I decided to transform our dinning room into a princess tea room due to the weather being so unpredictable in February. I am glad I did too because it turned out to be a a very chilly day in Cali.

Don't you love this gold sequins fabric??! I found it on sale in a store in the Los Angeles fashion district. I used it as a tablecloth for the dinning table,  removed all our chairs and replaced them with two benches my hubby built for the party. Isn't he the best?! I had planned on painting the benches but as always I ran out of time…hehe! As a quick fix I covered them up with pink tablecloths.
The tablescape included flowers, tea cups, glass slippers with gum balls and a wire carriage.  Also hung poms, lanterns, tissue balls and Christmas bling ornaments from the chandi.
My bestie Rose gave me the two calandras and I found two polka dot frames in the clearance section at Home Goods {I changed the polka dots to gold glitter by using Martha Stewart trim tape and a hole puncher} . I  also disguised our painting on the wall  with pink ruffle fabric and attached a gold covered "I" with velcro.
The dessert table was simple but sweet. I hung a "She lived happily ever after" sign I found at Hobby Lobby on our mirror which became the backdrop.

I loved  ALL the sweets! Not only were they lovely to look at but also delicious! The princess cake was made by Cakes by Emy, beautiful gold sprinkled macaroons were made by Jaime Emerson, and the gorgeous detailed cookies were made by Linda of Frog Prince Cake & Cookie Design.

The table also included shimmery gum balls, apple juices, and jumbo marshmallow hearts.

The girls loved the tiara straws! A corner in our family room turned into the royal dressing area.  Izabella and I made lace crowns together. You can find a tutorial on how to make the lace crowns here. Although we skipped a step and did not paint the lace…hehe! I bought it pink, green and white just added glitter to the top.  I also made the girls wands and bought them tini tiaras. Aren't they the cutest??!

My mom, sister, niece, and I made Disney Princess inspired tutus.  I think it was the perfect way to incorporate Izabella's favorite princesses…right??!
The girls also received tank tops, purses, bracelets, rings, and pearl necklaces.

On the other side of the room we placed a tall mirror, a rug, a huge number 5  piñata, hung Izabella's "Belle" dress, a crown,  and a glass chandi.
The mantel got a very girly makeover with photos of the birthday girl, flowers, dress forms filled with feathers, balloons and a printable happy birthday banner by Paper Glitter.  I tied it together with ribbon, lace, and tulle.
Natalie of The Knock Knock Factory made a gorgeous crown for our little princess. It was simply stunning!
She LOVED it! Can you tell??
The princesses had a lot of  fun picking out their royal goodies.
All the little princesses were overjoyed when they saw the special guest arrive. Their little eyes sparkled with happiness. It was a very touching moment.
Princess Belle gave all the beauties makeovers. Don't they look fancy??!
She also read them a fairytale story, colored with them and sang Happy Birthday to Bella before she left. She was a very sweet and pretty princess.
It was so cold outside… but the princesses did not care one little bit, they still wanted to break the piñata and jump jump jump in the bouncer!

Overall I think the party was a success! The princesses played, ate (crown shaped sandwiches, chips, pizza, chicken nuggets, fruit, and veggies) and celebrated till the clock struck 12! Ok maybe not that late…hehe!  But it sure did seem like it! Izabella was one happy and tired princess by the end of the party and I must admit so was the queen. Beyond grateful that Donnae of Capturing Your Heart was there to captured so many magical moments for us!

Happy 5th Birthday Princess Izabella! I love you infinity times infinity.

xoxo,
Mom {The Queen}
